Video Training
Over the years I have found it difficult finding any form of Videography training in Ireland. There are plenty of people and organisations offering Photographic Training, but the lack of support for budding Videographers was amazing ... so I decided to bite the bullet and offer my own structured courses.
Having run a number of very successful courses, I have decided to move away from the ad-hoc courses/workshops format to FETAC structured one. During 2010 I hope to finish the paperwork and be in a position to offer a number of Level-3, 5 and 6 FETAC courses in Video and Studio production.
Who is a Videographer?
If you operate a camcorder - then you are a videographer. The name has evolved over the last decade to emphasise the difference in technique and style between a photographer and a 'photographer' who specialises in videos. Videography, and Photography are two distinct crafts, they are similar in many areas, much of the theory is common to both streams but the final products have their own very specific requirements.
Many people have the mistaken belief that one leads to the other, or that one is superior to the other - nothing could be further from the truth. People, through their own personal preferences will have a specific flair and will express this flair either as a videographer or as a photographer.
