Video Training
Over the years I have found it difficult finding any form of Videography training in Ireland. There are plenty of people and organisations offering Photographic Training, but the lack of support for budding Videographers was amazing ... so I decided to bite the bullet and offer my own structured courses.
NOTE: All these courses are now being revamped in line with the work being done in Dingle where we (ScrogallTV) have a TV studio and much better facilities than in Ballingeary. One-One training as well as portfolio preparation is now available at that location. Give me a call and we can discuss your options.
Here is a brochure of courses running in November / December 2011. Spaces are limited.
Who is a Videographer?
If you operate a camcorder - then you are a videographer. The name has evolved over the last decade to emphasise the difference in technique and style between a photographer and a 'photographer' who specialises in videos. Videography, and Photography are two distinct crafts, they are similar in many areas, much of the theory is common to both streams but the final products have their own very specific requirements.
Many people have the mistaken belief that one leads to the other, or that one is superior to the other - nothing could be further from the truth. People, through their own personal preferences will have a specific flair and will express this flair either as a videographer or as a photographer.
